"Flowers are one of natures most exquisite creations, reminding us to pause and let the beauty of the natural environment rejuvenate our spirits. The subtle play of light and shadow is something I love exploring in all my paintings, but especially so in my floral compositions."

Living in the small King Country settlement of Piopio provides Jo with rich visual and personal influences. The changing seasons which bring new light and colour, the shifting ecology that gives her reason for concern and the fluctuating activity that is ever present when part of a farming culture are all hugely significant to Jo as an artist.
